The Courage Of Others [5/10]

'The Courage of Others' is the third studio album from Texas indie folk rockers Midlake. The follow up to 2006's 'The Trials of Van Occupanther' has 11 new tracks: 'Acts of Man', 'Winter Dies', 'Small Mountain', 'Core of Nature', 'Fortune', 'Rulers', 'Ruling All Things', 'Children of the Grounds', 'Bring Down', 'The Horn', 'The Courage of Others', 'In The Ground'.

Early reviews of the album are very positive with Drowned in Sound giving it 8/10 saying "there’s little separating them from the Radioheads, the Björks, the TV on the Radios or the Animal Collectives of this world." and the BBC write "The Courage of Others is a lovely, lovely record that doesn't sound like it belongs in this age at all. It's all the better for it."
