End Times
[10/10]
'End Times' is the eight studio album from Eels arriving less than a year after their seventh studio effort 'Hombre Lobo'. Despite the speed of the writing and recording there are 14 new tracks on the album with a further fine in the deluxe version and early reviews of the album are positive with blog critics describing the album as "a heartbreaking journey but well worth the ride" and Spin magazine says the album is "heartfelt and true".
From the mid-nineties to the early millennium Eels clocked up 4 consecutive top 20 albums with 'Electro-Shock Blues' and 'Souljacker' both peaking at number 12, 2000's 'Daisies of the Galaxy' made number 8 and 'Beautiful Freak'give them their highest charts position when making number 5 in the 1996. In the same time period the band also has two top 10 hits with 'Novocaine for the Soul' and 'Susan's House'.
