Van Morrison to Perform Astral Weeks in Full

And Belle and Sebastian to release BBC album

Van Morrison is to perform his classic 'Astral Weeks' in its entirety in Los Angeles over a two-night stint on November 7/8 reports Billboard. Some of the original musicians who performed on the album are expected to join Morrison at the Hollywood Bowl gigs and an album of the shows called 'Astral Weeks Live At The Hollywood Bowl' is scheduled to be released at the end of the year.

Astral Weeks was released in November 1968 and was a commercial disaster but critically acclaimed and is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time.

Belle and Sebastian BBC Album

Belle and Sebastian are to release a new album on November 17 called The BBC Sessions. Tracks on the 2 discs were recoded by the BBC from 1996 to 2001 and will include the band covering The Beatles' 'Here Comes The Sun', Thin Lizzy's 'The Boys Are Back In Town' and Velvet Underground's 'Waiting For The Man'.
