MGMT Reveal New Album Details

and so do the Eels and Corinne Bailey Rae

MGMT have revealed that they will release the follow up to their hugely successful debut album early next year. The duo have confirmed that the album will be called 'Congratulations' and they have described the album to Billboard magazine as "Bleaker" and the that the title track (Congratulations) as "pretty dark"

The band's debut album Oracular Spectacular was released early in 2008 to worldwide critical acclaim and it peaked at number 10 in the UK albums charts and spawned 3 top 40 hits singles with 'Time To Pretend', 'Kids' and 'Electric Feel'

Eels have confirmed the details of their 8th studio album called 'End Times' which will be released on January 19th 2010. The warp speed follow up to this year's Lonesome Hombro will have 14 new tracks:

'The Beginning', 'Gone Man', 'In My Younger Days', 'Mansions Of Los Feliz', 'A Line In The Dirt', 'End Times', Apple Trees', 'Paradise Blues', 'Nowadays', 'Unhinged', 'High And Lonesome', 'I Need A Mother', 'Little Bird' and 'On My Feet'

Corinne Bailey Rae has announced details of her second album will be called 'The Sea' and it will be in the shop on February 1 2010. It is the singer's first album since her self-titled debut and her first release since the sudden death of her husband Jason Rae in March 2008.
