Elbow and Radiohead Fly The Flag for The UK

For the first Uncut Music Award

Elbow and Radiohead are the only two British artist left in the final list for the first Uncut Music Award.


Back in September Uncut magazine announced a shortlist of 25 albums that were released from September 1, 2007 and August 31, 2008 and now they have narrowed it down the last 8 with Radiohead's critically acclaimed 'In Rainbows' and Elbow's Mercury Music Prize wining 'The Seldom Seen Kid' fly the flag for the UK.


The other six albums to make the final cut are the self-titled debut efforts from 'Fleet Foxes' and 'Vampire Weekend' along with The Raconteurs' 'Consolers Of The Lonely', For Emma, Forever Ago by Bon Ivor,  Brighter Than Creation's Dark by The Drive-By Truckers and The Felice Brothers  by The Felice Brothers


The winner will be announced in early November
