MGMT have confirmed that the follow up to their hugely successful debut album 'Oracular Spectacular' will be called Congratulations and it will hit the shops of April 12th 2010 and it will feature 9 new tracks: 'It's Working', 'Song for Dan Treacy', 'Someone's Missing', 'Flash Delirium', 'I Found a Whistle', 'Siberian Breaks', 'Brian Eno', 'Lady Dada's Nightmare' and 'Congratulations'.
The band have told Spin Magazone that the album is "definitely going to shock people, We dropped any sort of irony that was on the first record, and Congratulations feels true to who we really are"
Gaslight Anthem Confirm American Slang
The Gaslight Anthem have confirmed that the follow up to 'The '59 Sound' will be called 'American Slang' and it will hit the shelves in June.
The New Jersey will be in the UK to plug the album playing dates in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, London and Oxford and no doubt one or two festival appearances.

Alicia Keys is top of the UK album charts with her latest long player called 'The Element Of Freedom'. Despite shifting millions of albums across the pond, it is fourth time lucky for the American singer/songwriter whose previous best position was her 2001 debut effort 'Songs In 'A' Minor'.
Corinne Bailey Rae's second album 'The Sea' is the weeks highest new entry at 5 and there are also new entries for Peter Andre. Hot Chip (One Life Stand) and Midlake (The Courage of Others).
'Fireflies' by Owl City is top of the UK singles chart for a third consecutive week John & Edward's over of Vanilla Ice's 'Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)' which is the week's highest new entry at 2.

Garbage could be about to end their 5 year hiatus by entering the studio to record some new material. The band have not released an album since 2005's 'Bleed Like Me' but lead singer Shirley Manson has writen on her Facebook wall "Guess who I just spent a week in the studio with?" Would you be pleased if I said one of them was called Steve and one of them was called Duke and another was a Grammy-winning producer?"
The 'Grammy-winning producer' was band member Butch Vig who co-produced Green Day's '21st Century Breakdown' album.
Killing Joke Set for April Fool
Killing Joke are set to release a new album on April 5th called 'Feast Of Fools'.
The album will be the band's 13th studio effort and the follow up to 2006's 'Hosannas From The Basements Of Hell' which is described by the Quitus as "a return to KJ mark1 with equally strong personalities pulling in different directions".
The band are to plug the new album by playing a handful of dates throughout Europe in April before heading across the Atlantic for shows in New Work and LA.
Massive Attack Plan New EP
Massive Attack, who released their new album Heligoland on Monday 8th February, are planning a new EP to be released in the spring.
Robert '3D' Del Naja has told BBC 6Music that "It will probably be made up of tracks that we didn't put on this record (Heligoland), and maybe some new stuff as well" He also added that one of tracks called 'Red Light' was co-written with Elbow's Guy Garvey.

Muse and Stevie Wonder have been confirmed as the other two headliners for the 2010 Glastonbury Festival which takes place in Somerset in June.
Speaking at Event Production Show launched today at Olympia in London, festival organiser Michael Eavis has confirmed that rock giants Muse will headline the Saturday night and Motown legend Stevie Wonder will headline the Sunday. U2 were already confirmed as Friday night headliners and other acts confirming themselves include Hot Chip, Dizzee Rascal, Jack Johnson and Vampire Weekend.
Tickets for the festival are long sold out but the official website is worth checking from time to time in case of any further sales due to returns.

New romantic legends Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet are to re-release some of their old albums as a reminder to the young record buying public that the synth pop phase started well over 30 years ago.
Duran Duran, who re-released their classic Rio album last year, are to re-release their 1981 self-titled debut as A 2CD/DVD with stacks of extras such as original b-sides, live tracks and sessions that were originally recorded for former Radio One DY Peter Powell. The band's third long player 1983's 'Seven and the Ragged Tiger' will also get a special deluxe 2CD/DVD release. Both albums are due out on March 15 2010.

On the same release day as the Duran Duran albums, Spandau Ballet are to unearth some of their old stuff with their 1981 debut album 'Journeys to Glory' coming out as a 2 CD digi pack as well as their 1982 follow up 'Diamond'.

Kings Of Leon have bagged a gong for record of the year at the 2010 Grammy Awards which were held last night (January 31st 2010).
'Use Somebody', which was the bands second single from their 2007 album 'Because of the Times', won The Record of the Year at the ceremony which was dominated by Beyonce who bagged 6 awards in total.

Paolo Nutini has returned to the top of the UK albums charts for the third time with his second long player 'Sunny Side Up'.
The Scottish singer songwriter holds off a challenge from Alicia Keys with 'The Element Of Freedom' at number 2 and overtakes former chart topper 'Lungs' by Florence and the Machine. Mumford and Sons (Sigh no More) and Biffy Clyro (Only Revolutions) both climb back into the top 10.
Owl City spends a second consecutive week on top of the singles charts with 'Fireflies' ahead of Glee Cast with Don't Stop Believin' at number 2.

AC/DC are to release a greatest hits compilation album in April 3 called 'Iron Man 2' which is the title and the soundtrack to the movie of the same name.
The legendry rockers, who have never released a greatest hits album, have decided not to contribute anything new to the movie but they have give classic tracks such as 'Highway to Hell' and 'Rock 'n' Roll Damnation'.

'Merriweather Post Pavilion', the eighth studio album from New Yorkers Animal Collective has finally achieved silver status in the UK after topping many 'album of the year' lists for 2009.
Latest figures released by the BPI also reveal that the current UK number one album 'Lungs' by Florence and the Machine has gone 2 x Platinum and Lostprophets latest album 'The Betrayed' has also gone sliver.

Owl City is top of the UK singles charts with his debut single called 'Fireflies', which has previously topped the charts in both the USA and Australia.
Fireflies overtakes former number one 'Replay' by Lyaz and easily holds off the week's highest new entry from Example with 'Wont Go Quietly' at number 6.
There is no change in the top two positions in the album charts with Florence and The Machine's 'Lungs' at number one and Paolo Nutini's 'Sunny Side Up' at number 2. 'The Betrayed' by the Lostprophets is the week's highest new entry at number 3.
